Festivals and tournaments commemorating the medieval period and international events such as Umbria Jazz provide year-round excitement in the towns and villages. And the Umbria of silence, memories and undisputed spirituality integrates well with the Umbria of big international events such as the Spoleto Festival, the Festival of the Nations in Città di Castello, the Gubbio Festival for classical music, Umbria Jazz Winter in Orvieto .. CLIMATE

Umbria has a Mediterranean climate, which nonetheless varies considerably due to the great differences in elevation and in the conformation of the land. Its landlocked position attenuates the influence of the sea; the Adriatic is only about 50 km away, but the mountains in the east reduce its mitigating effect. Summers are hot and dry, and winters are relatively mild. Rainfall is heavier in the mountains to the east, where it often snows in the winter. In most of the region, however, it rarely gets very cold. Umbria weather forecast on www.umbriameteo.com/bollettinoPanorama umbro
