Because of Poggios commanding hilltop position it offers spectacular views from every window. Each room is flooded with light showing off to perfection beautifully beamed high ceilings and earth tiles.

Restored five years ago by the present owner, to its ancient design, the original medieval beams, doors and terracotta tiles were incorporated as much as possible.

All in all this lovely apartment measures approximately one hundred meters squared gross and can be either two or three bedrooms. With Poggios adaptability the bedrooms ( including guest room ) can also be used as gathering rooms or study. A good sized dining room, with kitchen by the farthest window, this spacious room has a large, open fireplace perfect for roasting chestnuts in the Autumn and reading by in the mild Winter months. The bathroom is fitted with pieces that nourish body and mind perfect for a long soak in the claw footed tub or quick shower.

Poggio is surrounded by verdant farmland tended by local farmers or watched over by large villa estates. The Equestrian stables nearby houses beautiful horses and is busy with lessons. Ancient, now at peace, Perugia and St. Francis' beloved Assisi are seen from one window and seven ranges of misty hills from another.

Close by are the gorgeous hill towns of artist filled Todi, market abundant Arezzo, Spoleto's music festival, Monticchiello's views over Val D'Orcia, Frances Maye's Cortona and Florence, of course. Perugia airport twenty minutes away. Lake Trasimeno, also close by, provides lake fish for many local restaurants famous Umbrian cuisine.
